Ben Lobaugh

Ben is a Seattlite and organizer of the Seattle WordPress Developer Meetup. When not out sailing, Ben can be found hacking out WordPress code and working from the inside to show Microsoft how cool Open Source is. Ben has worked with companies from mom & pop shops to multinational corporations, consulting on building effective web platforms and strategies.

Ben Metcalfe

Ben can track his involvement with the WordPress community way back before it was even WordPress (B2, in fact, which was the name of the former project that was forked and became WordPress). As a software engineer, Ben helped build the BBC News Website. He also rolled out the BBC’s blogging platform (sadly not WordPress) and its developer platform.

Since moving State-side in 2006, Ben has worked as a technologist and strategist – launching the MySpace Platform and advising numerous startups in his portfolio – including Apture (acquired by Google) and NutShell Mail (acquired by Constant Contact). Ben has blogged since 2004 on all manner of technology topics at http://benmetcalfe.com/blog/, which was previously one of the top 50 blogs in the UK.

Bill Erickson

Bill Erickson is a WordPress Consultant who builds custom websites using WordPress as a CMS and the Genesis framework. He contributes to the WordPress community through free themes, plugins, tutorials, and core patches. He’s also a cofounder of the BIL Conference (the open analog to the TED Conference).

Jake Goldman

Jake Goldman is the owner of 10up LLC (10up.com), a distributed web agency focused on awesome WordPress implementations with 10 full time employees. At 10up, Jake works on exciting and wide ranging WordPress projects, like TechCrunch, NBC Universal Sports, 9to5 Mac, Hip2Save (the official deal blog of NBC’s Today Show), VentureBeat, and Trulia. Jake is a writer and expert reviewer for Smashing Magazine, teaches WordPress at Boston University, and has authored over a dozen highly rated WordPress plug-ins. Jake founded the WordPress Providence meet up, and has spoken at WordCamps around the country, including Boston, New York, Mid-Altantic, Chicago, and Miami.

Justin Seeley

Justin Seeley is a renowned software trainer and graphic designer with nearly a decade’s worth of experience in the creative media industry. To date he has authored over 50 hours of instructional content on a variety of digital imaging and design related topics for companies like Total Training, Ten Ton Books, and most recently Lynda.com.

Kelley Koehler

With a diverse background in both business and engineering, Kelley fills the role of Production Manager at Zeek Interactive. Kelley has over a decade of experience in system creation and analysis, with well versed skills in testing and optimization. At Zeek, she combines her sales and marketing background with her engineering skills to better serve clients and deliver high quality products.

Lucy Beer

Lucy Beer of WebTrainingWheels has been using WordPress since 2004 and working in online marketing for even longer. She spends her days helping individuals and businesses learn how to use WordPress for their specific purpose. Stand too close to her and she’ll turn you into a WordPress-savvy nerd without you realizing it. She also works with businesses to coach and consult them on their online marketing strategies, and teaches group workshops and classes. Although not a full-blown developer, she actually likes coding (weird, huh?). When not doing these things, you’ll find her reading books in fine coffeeshops around LA (her nerdery extends offline too), or possibly on top of a hill in Topanga. She’s originally from Manchester, England although many years in Los Angeles have made her talk funny, acquire a taste for fro-yo and get annoyed by overly enthusiastic greeters in stores.

Michael Adams

Under the name “mdawaffe”, Mike has been a member of the WordPress community since 2004 and a Contributing Developer since 2006. He works at Automattic as the lead of Team Social, working on security, back-end development, Jetpack, and a host of other projects “on the side”.

Mike is currently engaging in intra-state espionage on behalf of LA county, but it’s OK since he’s originally from Idaho.

Mike Schroder

Mike Schroder, known as Shredder to most of his colleagues, was brought up as a sailor, cross-cultural kid, and web programmer in the mid-90s.  He currently works at DreamHost, where he contributes to the WordPress core and community.

Sé Reed

Sé Reed is a fan of the digital revolution. Through her consulting company, Sé Reed Media, she develops, codes, and manages custom WordPress websites for clients in a range of industries. As a specialty business adviser for the Small Business Development Center’s Los Angeles Regional Network, she provides one-on-one advising and conducts seminars to help small and micro businesses develop their web presence through websites, social media and search engine optimization. In 2003, Sé co-founded award-winning independent bookstore OPEN in Long Beach, CA, through which she has produced special events of every sort and scale, and where she revels in the non-digital loveliness of paper and ink.

Tabby Chapman

Tabitha Chapman (a.k.a Tabby) is a Developer at Zeek Interactive and has been working with WordPress for 6 years. Sporting a degree in Computer Science, she has created code for advertising agencies, software development and consulting firms, lead generation companies, and social networks. Tabby likes rainbows and animals that say “Hoo”. @tabbymarie

Todd Miner

Todd is an IT nut with a passion for web applications and anything tech.  After building his first computer at 8, it was all over.  He spent 6 years in QA performing automated functional testing & performance testing; and has run a small business web design firm since 2008.  Currently Todd works as a product manager at Apptivo, a cloud based business management platform with WordPress integration.  Todd is the “company nerd” in charge of working with the WordPress community to offer a better platform for developers & designers to build websites for themselves, and their customers.  Todd works as a product manager at Apptivo.

Tony Perez

Proud Marine vet turned entrepreneur. He holds an undergraduate degree in Technology Management and pursuing his graduate degree in Business Administration. He holds a strong passion for communities and holds the WordPress ecosystem in high regard. He is the COO/CFO for Sucuri, a web-base malware remediation company, and can be found working the malware trenches on a daily basis. Wes Chyrchel

Wes Chyrchel has been building websites for 15 years. He has worked with WordPress since 2006 and exclusively with WordPress, since 2008. He is passionate about creating great websites and personal customer experiences for visitors and his clients.
