The WordPress economy is expanding and more people are becoming involved in all aspects around WordPress, whether it be freelancing and entrepreneurship, blogging and content creation, search engine optimization, social media and marketing, developing plugins and themes, designing sites, User Interface, Maintenance, User Experience, Executives, Project Managers, Teachers, Presenters, and on… all working with WordPress in some capacity. This light-hearted session will break down several different types of popular positions and some of the requirements to do that job, which traits work best with which titles, and how you can begin to find your dream WordPress job.

About Suzette Franck

Suzette Franck is an eCommerce Manager, web content producer, accessibility advocate, and longtime WordPress expert with thirty years of experience in web development. She began hand-coding HTML websites on GeoCities in 1995, using font tags, tables, and pure stubborn curiosity, and has since built a career spanning eCommerce operations, WordPress, Drupal, Magento, Shopify, accessibility, content strategy, team training, and digital production. Over the years, Suzette has taught herself HTML, CSS, Sass, PHP, MySQL, WordPress theme development, Shopify, and multiple content management systems. She has worked with major organizations including Warner Bros. Discovery, New York Life, BDA, and A&A Global Imports, supporting large-scale website migrations, editor training, accessibility standards, eCommerce platforms, and digital content workflows. In her current role, she manages eCommerce content and operations while overseeing one direct report. Suzette previously earned the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies credential and has served as an accessibility subject matter expert, creating training materials, documentation, and standards to help teams build more inclusive digital experiences. She is also a longtime WordPress community contributor, having spoken at over 40 WordCamps across the U.S. and Canada and taught others how to build for the web. Today, Suzette brings together deep web development experience, eCommerce operations, platform expertise, and content strategy to support online stores that are scalable, accessible, and easy to manage. Her experience spans Shopify, Magento, WordPress, and custom content workflows, giving her a practical understanding of how products, content, user experience, and backend systems work together to support successful digital commerce. Outside of work, she enjoys crocheting, knitting, creative projects, and exploring the evolving world of AI.
