Organizers

Meet the space cadets serving as WordCamp Orange County 2016’s organizers:

David Margowsky

David Margowsky is a freelance project manager for WordPress development shops where he gets to work with some amazing people who are way smarter than him. This is David’s second year as lead organizer for WordCamp Orange County. You would have thought he would have learned his lesson last time…but no…he had to push his luck. David collects comic books, plays video and roleplaying games, and loves to travel with his wife.

David Arceneaux

David is a full-stack developer working for Zeek Interactive on WordPress themes, plugins, and mobile development. He started working with WordPress back when version 2.8 was the new hotness, and he lives in its world.

Priscilla Christian

Priscilla has been the Empress of Priscilla Christian Graphic Services since 1994. She began building Web projects in 1996 and discovered the infinite possibilities of WordPress in 2010. Priscilla now works with WordPress every day.

This year, Priscilla is thrilled to (once again) serve as the Volunteer Organizer on the OC WordCamp 2016 committee. She is looking forward to a mega-ton payload of eager response by those who are ready to give back to our WordPress community serving as volunteers!

We look forward to seeing YOU at at launch time for WCOC 2016!

Brandon Dove

Brandon Dove is a co-founder of Pixel Jar and the lead developer of a commercial plugin, AdSanity. He is the current co-leader of the OC WordPress Developer meetup, and former lead organizer of WordCamp Orange County. He’s an active member of the WordPress Community team, and has recently been deputized to help bring more WordCamps, to more places, for more people.

Dave Mosso

Dave Mosso is a freelance WordPresser, and head honcho of Spacious Mind Creative Solutions. In 2008, he made the leap into WordPress and has never looked back. Dave digs all manner of out-there music, 70s film, beers with pals and fellow web geeks, and the freedom of being self-employed, largely thanks to WordPress. He’s once again honored and humbled to have been asked to help out with WordCamp OC for the second year in a row.

Robert Nienhuis

Robert Nienhuis is a co-owner and the Creative Director of Nien Studios, an Orange County-based design and creative firm specializing in website, mobile, UI, UX, and identity design. He has enjoyed being a co-organizer of WordCamp Orange County the past five years.

Cemal Tashan

Cemal Tashan is an Electronic Engineer who started his journey with computers back when Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer (ENIAC) came to life. These days he is involved in WordPress as a  volunteer, developer, speaker and Seniors’ advocate. The accent that you hear comes from his Turkish origin.  He loves to learn about everything, and enjoys meeting people.

Sarah Wefald

Sarah is the production manager at Zeek Interactive. When not making WordPress sites herself and enabling the Zeek team to build sites and apps using WordPress, she’s looking after publicity for WordCamp OC 2016. Send her a tweet at @ocwordcamp, and like on Facebook. She’s also @sarahwefald on Twitter.

Steve Zehngut

Steve founded Zeek Interactive in 1995 and he has been the creative technologist behind the Huntington Beach based company since its inception. Under his direction, Zeek has grown from an apartment bedroom to one of Southern California’s leading development and consulting shops. Steve is the organizer of the OC WordPress Meetup and has helped build the community to over 1,200 members. He is a frequent speaker at WordCamps and has taught interactive courses at UC Irvine, USC, the American Film Institute, and Cal State Long Beach. Steve has a BA in Film from Cal State Northridge.

Jeff Zinn

Jeff started web development in the mid 1990s. In 2004 he and Brandon Dove founded Pixel Jar, a custom web development firm specializing in WordPress projects. Jeff also co-hosts the monthly Orange County WordPress Developer meetup in Huntington Beach, and speaks and volunteers at neighboring WordCamps. When not programming, he spends most of his free time traveling, hiking, camping, surfing, and any other activity where there is no signal. Also, coffee.
